The Theory of Writing

People write to describe ideas or motions of life. The difficulty comes at the writing when it is not as natural as breathing. From some point in history, humans start to explain themselves and the world. Theory of writing is the progression of the skills to describe. The writing that is compelling to the mind is revolutionizing for the society. At the time of Socrates for not appreciating writing has revolutionized the philosophy only by his pupil Plato with the written book “The Republic”. The ideas had conveniently development in epistemology and which developed the political ideas that we adapted and using today.

In the Theory of Writing need to have the main topic, which is the question professor asks you, “what are you interested to write about”. In this path, I will tell you (whoever you are) how to make it much easier and bit how easily you can execute it. As the person of liking things, you have preferences. Taking an example from me, I would write a topic that would the most entertain me. If its report about the play, I would focus to say the worst about the play and how it destroys the play’s emersion. I love to see my professors comments on how insightful my insults about the play were, those comments make me just smile.
Many students are having this problem of not able to choose, that underlying problem can possibly produce troubles when writing the assignment. Even if they know the topic, can that person write about it? The different approach has to be in place. The way I write is similar the way I would have the conversation, although the writing is not the same as having the conversation, it does have the same thought flow.
Ask yourself, which topic intrigues you to talk about? That question would make the assignment much easier to write since there is an intrinsical value that would keep the motivation to write about an interesting topic.
For examples, I wanted to introduce the gun issue from the neutral point, though making it personal makes the writing about the social issue far more impactful.
(first draft, About Gun Control) – Not personal – 1st example

A social Issue that divides us is gun control. The Second Amendment says, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” and the line “the right of the people” is what divides us. Let’s view the rhetoric of some of the sources on that social issue.

(final draft, 2 Genres) – Personal – 2nd example

I am interested to have a conversation – How gun control legislation affects the safety of Americans? Gun legislation is a widely controversial topic that is discussed in the media. The reason to have this conversation is to inform, you the reader, of the topic from an academic point of view since gun legislation can be misconstrued by the rhetoric of the media.

I introduce two essays. Reading the first example you can notice the introduction seem too artificial, stating the second amendment and saying having a stance of “the right of the people” divides us doesn’t have much description, it seems bleak and foreign for the new reader to perceive this writing personally. Suppose to the second example, to open the introduction with an invitation to conversation seems the most personal. Since this class about the social issue, the best way to make the reading more agreeable make more personal. Based on those two examples I am sure that shifting the stance from the neutral about guns legislation to being personal about guns legislation. That is the progression of the stance what makes, in the theory of writing on a social issue far more impactful.
The biggest influence to choose and determine the choice of the topic was on the first day of the class, the professor showed Childish Gambino, “This is America” and I wrote the social issue that on how the gun is affecting American in a positive way. Why I choose it? When watching that music video on the first day it provoked me how much it was wrong, one of the instances when the singer shoot people on the background with AK-47, saying “This is America” me beforehand reading multiple reports about gun actually protecting American and then in video with Childing Gambino showing it murdering made me frustrated and determined to write about guns. Since the rhetorical situation was around the Americans shootings, even at the beginning of Childish Gambino video the singer shoots somebody in the chair behind and saying, “This is America”. I do understand that the people who like Childish Gambino are having stereotypical beliefs that are propagated by the government, without looking at the data. The audience is ordinary people that believe Americans should not have guns and therefore those people would be my audience for the writing. Understanding what compels you to write makes in the theory on writing to visualize the problem and the audience that you address.
My Theory of Writing is simple, write you want and write the way you would have a conversation. The second example that I used for introduction is good representation at the Theory of Writing. I want to talk guns so I imagine telling people what I think and wrote down as if the person who reads my text is my friend. When you write to someone you care, you tend to have conversation-like dialogue. It is talking with the best ability to describe the ideas or motion of life when it is personal.

My theory of writing can be applied at any topic, the exception may be scientific papers. Be able to write something in your words as if was a conversation can greatly immerge the reader into the description. The rhetoric of writing can be applied from the interest you have, the situation that is compelling to tell your audience of something that you are compassionate. If you are compassionated to tell the story, then you have stances to expend the importance of your writing. With my theory of writing it is possible to create a great social impact.
